Medical Help

Sarah at the Medical Camp

We are exploring the idea of starting some basic medical outreach centres, teaming up with local Christian doctors and having initially monthly mobile clinics held in remote tribal villages.

We are keen to facilitate this exciting project and want to help as many people as possible.

Medical Camp

Every time we visit villages, many people ask for medical assistance.

Sarah has found she is able to offer advice and suggest medications or appropriate referral and therefore there is a lot we can offer,

and by using local doctors we hope to be able to offer a very needed service that communicates God's love in a tangible way.

We are also in a position to respond to individual needs. There are a number of children with particular needs that we are hoping to help with, like the five year old girl pictured who has a disfiguring facial tumour. Her treatment is costly and contributions towards her health needs and those of others, would be welcomed.

With a team of 5 GPs from the UK and with a wider Idian support team we took part in a medical mission to rural villages, seeing 300-500 patients a day. Whilst Sarah saw patients, Sundar was involved with other aspects such as registration and triage, running the dispensary and ophthalmics - fitting people for glasses! It was a great experience and we are keen to run similar initiatives in our area in the future.
